By creating an account or using ShakoMako (shakomako.ai), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.
ShakoMako is a language learning platform offering bite-size lessons, games, flashcards, and real-world phrases in multiple languages. We offer both free and premium subscription tiers.
Free plan: Includes the first 3 lessons per language, all 6 mini-games, streaks, badges, and word of the day. Free forever, no credit card required.
Premium plan: Unlocks all lessons in each language, the full phrase library, and spaced-repetition review. Billed monthly ($4.99/month) or annually ($39.99/year). Prices may vary by region and are shown in the app before you confirm any purchase.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. On iOS, your subscription is billed through your Apple ID and can be managed or cancelled anytime in your App Store account settings; on Android it is billed through Google Play and managed in your Play Store subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Premium features are activated immediately upon successful payment. See our Refund Policy for cancellation terms. Purchases made on the App Store or Google Play are also subject to the refund process of the respective store.
You agree not to:
All content on ShakoMako — including lessons, vocabulary, games, graphics, and the ShakoMako name and logo — is owned by BSoft and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
You retain ownership of any content you submit through the app. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use it to operate and improve our services.
ShakoMako relies on trusted third-party providers to operate, including Supabase (accounts and learning data), Apple's App Store and Google Play (in-app purchases on mobile devices), Stripe (payments on the web), and Resend (transactional email). Your use of purchases and related features is also subject to the applicable provider's terms.
ShakoMako is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that you will achieve specific language learning outcomes. Language learning results vary by individual effort and practice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BSoft shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of ShakoMako. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@shakomako.ai. Upon termination, your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of Quebec. Any disputes shall be resolved in Canadian courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of ShakoMako after changes constitutes acceptance.
