Delete Your Data

🗑️ You can delete your ShakoMako account and personal data at any time — directly in the app, or by request. Here's exactly how, and what happens to your data.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)

Open ShakoMako and sign in.
Go to Settings (the ⚙️ tab).
Scroll to Account and tap “Delete my account & data”.
Confirm. Your account and personal data are then removed.

If you have an active subscription, please cancel it first (Settings → Manage subscription) before deleting your account.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

Prefer to request it manually, or want only some of your data deleted without deleting your whole account? Email us from your account email address:

📧 privacy@shakomako.ai — tell us what you'd like deleted. We respond within 30 days.

What data is deleted

Your account and login details (email address, name)
Your learning data — lessons completed, XP, streaks, quiz scores, and progress
Your app preferences and settings

What we keep, and for how long

Deleted within 30 days: all of the personal data listed above.
Retained for 7 years: payment and transaction records, only where we are legally required to keep them for tax and accounting purposes. They are not used for any other purpose.
